These terms apply to the Word of Life Church text message program. By signing up, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Program name and description
Word of Life Church Text Updates.
Word of Life Church Inc uses text messaging for ministry communication. There are two separate categories, and you choose each one independently.
Non-marketing messages
- Service times and changes to the schedule
- Reminders about events you have signed up for
- Volunteer scheduling and reminders about the role you accepted
- Ministry and team coordination
- Replies when you text us back
Marketing messages
- Invitations to upcoming church events
- Church news and announcements
We do not send donation or fundraising requests by text.
Signing up
You can sign up by filling in the form on our Text Updates page, or by completing a paper sign-up card at the church. Giving us your phone number by itself does not sign you up — you must tick the box for the messages you want.
There are two checkboxes, one for each category above. Neither is ticked for you. You may tick either, both, or neither.
Consent is not a condition. You do not have to receive text messages in order to attend, volunteer, give, or take part in anything at Word of Life Church. You can leave both boxes unticked and still submit the form.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies, depending on what is happening at the church and what you signed up for.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, for messages we send you and messages you send us. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your mobile provider.
How to stop
You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any message from us. We will send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and after that you will not receive further text messages from us.
How to start again
If you stop and later change your mind, sign up the same way you did the first time and we will resume sending messages.

Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and your consent to receive text messages are not shared with any third parties, other than the providers who deliver the messages for us. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
